A well-functioning Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) is the backbone of infection control. Proper sterilization of surgical instruments directly prevents Surgical Site Infections (SSIs) and safeguards patient lives.

The Egyptian Society for Sterilization is a leading scientific body specializing in developing and promoting sterilization and infection control practices within the healthcare sector in Egypt. Since its establishment, the Society has strived to raise awareness and implement the highest evidence-based standards, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for both patients and healthcare providers.
